Return & Refund Policy
 

Thank you for choosing Ingreda. Because we work with custom packaging, branded materials, ingredients, and professional consulting services, our return and refund terms vary by product and service type. Please review the following carefully before placing your order.
 

1. Custom & Made-to-Order Products

This includes custom packaging, labels, printed items, private label products, and items manufactured to client specifications.

  • All custom and made-to-order items are final sale.

  • Once artwork or specifications are approved and production is scheduled, orders cannot be cancelled, changed, or refunded.

  • Clients must review and approve all proofs, dielines, materials, and technical specifications in writing before production begins.

  • Ingreda is not responsible for performance, regulatory, or branding issues resulting from client-provided artwork, materials, or specifications.
     

2. Food-Grade Ingredients & Perishables

For safety and traceability reasons:

  • All food ingredients are final sale once shipped.

  • Returns are not accepted for opened, used, temperature-sensitive, powdered, or repackaged items.

  • Storage, handling, and use of goods after delivery are the responsibility of the client.
     

3. Consulting, Regulatory & Professional Services

This includes sourcing, compliance, food safety guidance, grant support, marketing, and production coordination and project management.

  • Services are billed upfront and are non-refundable once work is scheduled or begun.

  • Fees are earned based on time, expertise, planning, research, and deliverables, whether or not the client proceeds with implementation.

  • Ingreda does not guarantee regulatory outcomes, funding approvals, product performance, or business results.

  • If paused, any remaining balance may be credited toward future services at Ingreda’s discretion (no cash refunds).
     

4. Contract-Based & Retainer Agreements

For agreements with defined terms:

  • Cancellation, notice periods, severance, and minimum fee commitments follow the signed contract.

  • If a client ends services early, they remain responsible for all outstanding and minimum contractual payments.
     

5. Shipping, Delivery & Inspection

Please inspect shipments immediately upon arrival.

  • Any issues must be reported within 48 hours, with photos and lot numbers where applicable.

  • Failure to report issues within 48 hours constitutes acceptance of goods as delivered.
     

6. Order Issues & Resolutions

If an issue is verified by Ingreda:

  • We may provide replacement of affected items or a credit equal to the value of the invoice (at our discretion).
     

Ingreda does not reimburse:

  • Production or labour costs

  • Business interruption or resale loss

  • Third-party manufacturing or distribution impacts

  • Consequential or indirect damages
     

7. Limitation of Liability

Ingreda’s total liability under any order or service is limited to the amount paid to Ingreda for that specific order or service.
 

8. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and disputes will be handled exclusively in the courts of British Columbia.
